A Proud History of Football in the Highlands

Moss Vale Football Club has long been a cornerstone of the local football scene, with deep roots and an enduring passion for the game. Our home ground on Church Road has seen decades of dedication, growth, and community spirit—stretching back to our earliest incarnation as the Moss Vale Services Soccer Club.

In 1984, a passionate group of locals, many of Scottish heritage, came together to reform the club. With a clear vision and strong community ties, Moss Vale Soccer Club was reborn—this time with a distinct identity that honoured its cultural legacy. The club adopted the red and white ‘candy stripe’ shirts, a nod to tradition that continues to be proudly worn to this day. Our emblem, featuring a soccer ball cradled by a Scottish thistle, stands as a tribute to the club’s founders and their heritage.

From these humble beginnings, MVFC has grown into one of the most recognised and respected football clubs in the Southern Highlands. What began as a small community team has flourished into a club that supports players of all ages and skill levels—from enthusiastic juniors just starting out, to experienced senior squads chasing premierships and cup glory.
